content.

I went to bed last night at 5:45. On my way home my little headache turned into something much more and made me nauseous and just miserable. It was work-out day (because we had been lazy the day before) and I simply couldn't do it. Craig gave me some meds and I fell asleep by 6 or so...like a rock. I woke up about 10 when he came to bed, got up, ate a nutrigrain bar, but was still dizzy with sleepiness and went back to bed and slept until now.
Good news...headache is gone. I'm a little sore from sleeping so long, but that will pass.
One of my favorite blessings from God is where I live. I went outside to my car (thought my phone was out there...wrong) and it had that smell of the outdoors, early morning after it had rained just lightly. I wish I could bottle the smell for you. It almost smells like a Christmas candle.
I feel so at home here.
I kinda of hope that it will rain and keep this early morning light the same. It's so cozy inside my little shack. Well, I am going to get off of here, light some candles, do some housework and try to get a hold of my sister.
(I tried to take a picture of outside right now, but alas...I left my camera on and it's dead) So I will leave you this instead......the closest picture I could find that looks like where I live, but is not where I live :)

i feel pretty.

Some of you may know of my search for the perfect false eyelashes. My search has come to a hault because our plans have been wobbly...but none the less...the perfect lash search continues...

i die.
shutting it down.
These are more like everyday ones...yup, I'm gonna rock it with my lashes and sweatshirts! Penelope you are stunning!

So I was going to post tips on how to apply the lashes, but way to long...you can check out this link instead.

I am so mad! I lost my Beaver Tickets for this weekends game. I have been looking forward to it all season. I was gonna be front row joe. I could cry.

my privacy.

They caught me taking out the garbage again this morning!! Darned paparazzi!

When will I ever be able to live a normal life! *sigh*

mid-november.

I cannot wait until mid-November!!! This is when I allow myself to start decorating for the Christmas Season.
I am absolutely loosing my mind in looking forward to Christmas this year. Halloween decor didn't happen too much, but I've got boxes and boxes of Christmas decorations and ornaments and all that good stuff. (Craig doesn't know what's coming!)
I think between now and mid-November I will start concentrating on Christmas gifts for family. I would like to handmake things, buuuuuutt....I am a planner and need to improve on being a do-er.

Love this from Pottery Barn...

I am way into trees...um, makes sense since my daddy and someday baby daddy are mountain men. So...if you see any awesome tree decor around SPEAK UP! and let me know :) We have a big fir tree in the back field (I can't really call it a yard) and I really want to put Christmas light on it...Craig will truly think I have lost it. :)
(Yay! Only 1 1/2 more days of work this week!...that's right Kam...took Thursday off too)

halloween glam.

I love this series that Hostess with the Mostess has been doing.
Her idea for using fishnets, tulle or other fancy tights to dress up glass cylinders just blew me away! Such a simple QUICK! idea...and I absolutely adore the glamour she has had to this sometimes chintzy holiday.

p.s. I so cannot wait until I have the perfect home for a Halloween party! It's going to be like the planning Kramer on Seinfeld did for the millennium.

link.

So I was looking for the link for the flower gloves in my etsy post and came across these! They are from Rudy Toots...love.
As for the flower gloves....they are sold by Cofygirl.
Skull Necklace...Pulpsushi
Compass Ring...Jeweled Ambrosia
Boo Necklace...aPassionforFashion
and the red knit hat...well, I couldn't find it, sooooo I found you a new one from whynot...

i die.

I found this fabulous jewelry line! Blue Poppy Handcrafted Jewelry is absolutely bananas! (yup, did a Rachel Zoe marathon yesterday...it's all stuck in my head!) Also, I went to Glam (222 1st Downtown Albany...Flinn's Block) and got some amazing earrings! Andrea Dreyer creates amazing over-the-top jewelry and calls them Kicklet Kreations. Her necklaces are especially spectacular! Make sure to drop by Glam (next door to the soon to be open I Heart Shoes) and check it out!

melody.

This is my friend Melody! She has been living in Pittsburgh for the past year to earn her Bachelor's in nursing. She has moved back (is in the Dalles area now) and will be moving to Portland pretty soon. She's getting married in January at the Sunriver Resort to her high school sweetheart (Chris rocks!). Anyhow, she is probably coming down for Halloween and I am so excited. It's so much more fun to get all dressed up with a girlfriend (and have a few cocktails beforehand.)
The Chubby Bunny contest...yup there is a pic of me doing the same, but like I'm gonna post it! :)
Good Times.
p.s. If anyone has a good idea for a semi-sexy (not slutty) Halloween Costume give me some advice!! I am lost! :)

so blessed.

He loves me. I am so happy.

fat talk.

This is National End Fat Talk Week. Yup, you heard that right!
We are so hard on ourselves and what we need to focus on is being healthy...in our bodies....feeling sexy...in our bodies.
Last night, I went to Weightwatchers. I gained .4 lbs. Yup, not even half a pound, but I was absolutely crushed. I have been good...Kambria can be a witness to that at work, and Craig at home. I busted my butt working out, watching what I was eating, drinking water and still gained. I am so focused on what is on the scale and that is just a small part of it all. I need to remember...I am feeling better!! My clothes fit better!! My double-chin is disappearing!!
I need to remember to just keep it up and do what is healthy for me, and eventually the unhealthy excess weight will come off.
So remember girls! NO FAT TALK!! You are all so beautiful!

Miss Elite Plus America asked me to be her friend on myspace. Random, but she is stunning and has nearly lost 200 lbs. Really inspirational. It reminds me that I don't have to be a stick to be beautiful, but a great shopping trip and fabulous makeup and hair could do the trick!

And her before picture....

spanx.

Do they work?? Feedback? Pretty please?!

candy, candy.

Maybe I will put this on my desk next :) Just kidding Max!

gotta love the apples.

So, I found this on the Hostess with the Mostess blog. It looks sooo yummy, I will never make it though, but if any of you want to, you know who to call!! :) (no, not Ghostbusters, although I am sure they would appreciate it!) For the recipe, follow this link...Smitten Kitchen.

screenprinting.

So yes, I am a degree toting "artist." And as part of my Art Degree I chose printmaking as one of my emphasis'. Printmaking was so fabulous; we learned intaglio (etching into zinc...well, we used zinc), non-toxic lithography, relief and screenprinting.
Screenprinting was probably one of my favorites because you really don't need an expensive press to make it happy. You can make wearable art, totebags...you can print on pretty much anything that can be laid out flat.
I still have my old screen, squeegee and some inks and I hope to create a mini-studio in our spare bedroom. I have been feeling pretty down lately (not even sure why), but I feel like if I have a space to create I will be much more content.
So, now the big project begins of cleaning out the room. It's pretty packed and has been full of storage, but I think I can make it happen.

I can't wait to do this...these pics reminded me of how much fun I had!
Gosh it creates a mondo-mess!

I would love to have a spot like this...but even with some more style!

my childhood has returned.

kinda diggin' the legwarmer thing.

j'adore.

J'DON'T!!!!!!
