I love embroidery. Not so much cross stitch or the perfect prestine stitching, but free hand with a homespun handmade feel. I love how there is a modern twist on this craft and I'm thinking of how to incorporate this into my Christmas gifts this year.
Ok...so if you're going traditional on the stitching...this is a must! :)
One of my other favorite things is all the colors of embroidery floss! (So...if any of you don't know...I'm a color freak!) Lately I am loving oranges, greens and black & white...soon I'm sure it will turn into a red & green obsession. I also love the look of working felt and patterned fabric in with the stitching.

P.S. I want to learn how to quilt...if anyone knows of a great book for beginners, please pass it along...Thanks!!...TTYL!

Um, hi, we're twins. I'm convinced.
I have that exact same embroidery book.
AND
I'm wanting to start a quilt project this winter.
:)
we should get together and embroider at a coffee shop sometime! :)
Quilting is so fun. My sister and I took a few classes years ago and I loved it. Check out the quilt store downtown on 1st ave for classes.
